Every animal that comes through our doors at Mona and Friends receives a full, professional veterinary assessment before anything else. Our founder is a licensed veterinarian, and that means every rescue dog and cat in our care benefits from expert medical attention from the moment they arrive. We check for injuries, illness, parasites, dental issues and nutritional deficiencies, creating an individual care plan for each animal based on what they need most.
Our treatment program covers everything from routine vaccinations and parasite control to post surgery recovery care, wound treatment and management of chronic health conditions. We believe that every animal deserves to be healthy before they find their forever home. No animal leaves our care without being fully vaccinated, neutered or spayed where appropriate, and cleared by our veterinary team. We also carry out follow up health checks to ensure each animal continues to thrive after adoption.
